Michele L. Shaffer, PhD is a collaborative statistician who has worked for more than 20 years in industry and academic medicine, including Penn State and University of Washington. Dr. Shaffer was previously a tenured Associate Professor in the Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics of Public Health Sciences at Penn State College of Medicine, later Adjunct Associate Professor, and now consults for industry full time. Dr. Shaffer has collaborated in several areas including pulmonology, endocrinology, oncology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and geriatrics. Areas of statistical expertise include complex study design and design and analysis of longitudinal studies.
